Product Details

Two ingredients. Trigona propolis and extra virgin olive oil. Nothing else.

That is the whole point. Most products aimed at eczema fail on the extras rather than the actives: the fragrance, the preservatives, the essential oils, the propylene glycol. None of those are in here. No alcohol either, so it does not sting on skin that is already raw.

Propolis does the anti inflammatory and antimicrobial work. Stingless bee propolis carries up to three times the antioxidant activity of Brazilian propolis. The olive oil brings squalene and vitamin E, which slow water loss and give a weakened barrier something to rebuild with.

Cold processed. No heat, no irradiation, so nothing is cooked out of it.

One or two drops on the area, spread thin, over your moisturiser. If you want less of an oily finish, mix the drops into the moisturiser instead. Most people get 1 to 2 months out of a 20ml bottle.

It contains pollen. Patch test on your jaw and give it a day. Fine on children over one year. It is not a steroid and not a substitute for what your doctor has given you, so keep following their advice.

Ingredients: Trigona propolis extract, extra virgin olive oil.

EFFECTIVE FOR ECZEMA

1. Anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits (Propolis)

Stingless bee propolis naturally contains high levels of bioflavonoids, phenolic compounds, and antioxidant enzymes. Current scientific literature demonstrates that propolis can:

  • Reduce inflammatory pathways implicated in eczema (including COX-2 and pro-inflammatory cytokines)
  • Support wound healing and epithelial regeneration
  • Inhibit common skin pathogens (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus), which are known to worsen eczema
  • Protect the skin from oxidative stress that contributes to barrier breakdown

Trigona propolis specifically has been shown to exhibit significantly higher antioxidant activity, up to 3× that of Brazilian propolis, enhancing its protective and restorative effects.

2. Barrier reinforcement and moisture retention (Olive Oil)

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in squalene, vitamin E, and oleic acids, which have been studied for their ability to:

  • Improve the integrity of the skin barrier
  • Reduce transepidermal water loss
  • Soothe irritation
  • Support recovery of dry, cracked, or sensitised skin

By infusing propolis directly into olive oil, this formulation delivers two essential therapeutic actions: reducing inflammation and strengthening the skin barrier, the two core priorities in eczema management.

HOW TO USE

Two ways, depending on the finish you want.

  1. Directly, for a protective layer over the skin. One or two drops to the area, spread thinly. Twice or three times daily works for most people, and it goes on best after a moisturiser.
  2. For a less oily after feel, mix one or two drops into your moisturiser and apply to the affected area.

For general dryness, once a day is enough on any part of the body
