What makes Byra different from other natural skincare brands?
Byra combines clinical efficacy with clean beauty. We are Singapore's only EWG VERIFIED skincare company. Unlike many natural brands, we provide clinical proof of results, such as 25% melanin reduction and 69.5% reduction in cellular aging. We use plant-derived actives at optimal concentrations backed by scientific research, not marketing hype, and every formula is published on EWG's own database.
Is Byra just skincare, or more?

Is Byra for all genders?
Yes, Byra is for all who seek radiance. Our formulations are unisex, our voice is inclusive, and our community is open. Skin doesn’t have a gender — and neither does self-discovery.
Are Byra products suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin?
Yes. All Byra products are dermatologically tested, free of synthetic fragrances, and formulated without harsh irritants. Our gentle, pH-balanced formulations are designed for all skin types, including sensitive skin. We use plant-derived actives at optimal concentrations to deliver results without irritation. Note that PURIFY, ILLUMINATE and REJUVENATE contain naturally derived essential oils. If essential oils have irritated your skin before, patch test first.
Are Byra products safe during pregnancy and nursing?
Yes. We formulate without retinoids, hydroquinone, high percentage acids, and the other ingredients commonly restricted during pregnancy and nursing. Three of our products contain naturally derived essential oils at low levels, so if you would rather avoid those entirely, the full ingredient list is on each product page. We still recommend running your routine past your healthcare provider.
Are Byra products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. All Byra products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We never test on animals and use only plant-derived and synthetic actives. We are committed to ethical beauty without compromising efficacy.
Where are Byra products made?
All Byra products are formulated and manufactured in Sweden under strict quality standards. We use European-sourced ingredients and sustainable manufacturing practices.
What is the correct order to use Byra products?
The optimal routine order is: 1) PURIFY Biotic Cleanser, 2) MERACLE Nutri-Essence (to enhance absorption), 3) ILLUMINATE and/or REJUVENATE Nutri-Serum, 4) SATURATE Nutri-Moisturiser. Always apply from thinnest to thickest consistency.
Can I use ILLUMINATE and REJUVENATE serums together?
Yes. We recommend using both serums together for comprehensive brightening and firming benefits. Apply ILLUMINATE first (lighter texture), then REJUVENATE, followed by SATURATE Nutri-Moisturiser.
How long until I see results?
Comfort and texture improve within the first two weeks. For brightening, most people see meaningful brightening by 6 to 8 weeks, with best results at 12. Firmness is slower again, because it is structural rather than surface level. Consistency matters more than anything else, so use twice daily and judge at twelve weeks.
Can I use Byra products with other skincare brands?
Yes. Byra products work well with other clean beauty brands. However, for optimal results and to avoid ingredient conflicts, we recommend using the complete Byra system. If combining brands, introduce new products gradually and monitor your skin's response.
Do I need to use sunscreen with Byra products?
Yes. We strongly recommend daily SPF 30+ sunscreen, especially when using ILLUMINATE Nutri-Serum or MERACLE Nutri-Essence. Sunscreen is essential for preventing new pigmentation and protecting your results. We do not sell a sunscreen, so take that as disinterested advice.
Are there any ingredients Byra products do NOT contain?
Byra products are free from: parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, mineral oils, silicones, drying alcohols, hydroquinone, and all animal-derived ingredients. We formulate with clean, effective, science-backed actives only.
How should I store Byra products?
Store all Byra products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Our airless pump packaging protects active ingredients from oxidation. Once opened, use within 6-12 months for optimal freshness and efficacy.
How do you verify your clinical claims?
All Byra clinical claims are based on independent laboratory testing and clinical studies conducted on our formulations. We test efficacy, safety, and stability under dermatological supervision. Our ingredient concentrations are optimized based on published scientific research.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping in Singapore for orders above $50 SGD. International shipping rates vary by location but we do extend free shipping based on minimum spend and where you're located.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your Byra products. If you're not satisfied, please contact us within 30 days of purchase. We offer refunds or exchanges on unopened products. For opened products, please reach out to discuss your concerns.
What does EWG VERIFIED mean?
EWG VERIFIED is a certification from the Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit in the United States. A product carrying the mark is free of EWG's chemicals of concern and meets their strictest standards for health. All five Byra skincare formulas are EWG VERIFIED.
Is Byra the only EWG VERIFIED skincare brand in Singapore?
Yes, currently. Byra is the only skincare brand in Singapore with EWG VERIFIED certification across its full range. Every one of the five formulas carries the mark, not a selected few.
What does Byra mean by clean skincare?
Clean is a marketing category, not a safety standard, and we are aware of that. What we mean by it is narrow and checkable. Every Byra formula is EWG VERIFIED, dermatologically tested, and built on actives at concentrations with evidence behind them. The badge is the floor, not the argument.
Are the actives clinically proven?
The actives we use are chosen on published evidence and used at concentrations that reflect that evidence, which is the part most clean brands quietly skip. ILLUMINATE uses alpha arbutin, Vitamin C and niacinamide for pigmentation. REJUVENATE uses bakuchiol for collagen support. MERACLE uses red algae and deep sea water extract to smooth texture and hold moisture.
Which product should I start with?
Start with the concern that bothers you most. Four products used consistently will do more than eleven used sporadically, which is the argument for a short routine rather than a drawer full of jars. PURIFY and one serum is a real routine and enough to judge us by. Add MERACLE underneath the serum when you want it working harder.

What is Bakuchiol and how does it compare to retinol?
Bakuchiol is a plant-derived alternative to retinol with similar benefits but without the peeling, sun sensitivity, or pregnancy restrictions. Clinical studies show it reduces fine lines, stimulates collagen, and improves skin firmness, through a different pathway to retinol and more gently.
Do Byra products contain essential oils?
Three of them do. PURIFY, ILLUMINATE and REJUVENATE contain naturally derived essential oils at low levels, and every ingredient is listed in full on each product page and on EWG's database. Natural and gentle are not the same thing, so if essential oils have caused you problems before, patch test first or start with a 3ml sample.
What are prebiotics and postbiotics in the PURIFY Cleanser?
Prebiotics are nutrients that feed beneficial skin bacteria, while postbiotics are beneficial compounds produced during bacterial fermentation. Together, they balance your skin's microbiome, strengthen the barrier, reduce inflammation, and support healthy, clear skin.
